STEP 4.b Accountability
a href="#intro">IntroductionExercise 7. Match outcome(s) against goal(s)
Introduction
How do the library, service, and librarians help? Has the library achieved the objectives it promised to grant or government funders? You can use your set(s) of outcomes to offer a robust replies to these questions in grant applications, government and internal assessments, and more. Exercise 7: Match outcome(s) against goal(s) can help to ensure that librarians continue to monitor service outcomes, and in turn measure accountability.
Determine which outcomes to monitor for long-term and provide a date for their review. Long-term assessment will help to develop a deep and evolved understanding of the benefits of the library to the community -- and for your community.

As noted previously, for librarians who have completed initial outcome evaluations, surveys (link to survey file) can be a helpful tool for long-term assessment.
